Case Study

Two Little Hands Productions

In 2001, sisters Rachel de Azevedo Coleman and Emilie de Azevedo Brown decided to make a fun and entertaining video that would teach sign language to hearing children. Why? Rachel’s daughter Leah is deaf and Emilie began teaching her son Alex some basic signs as a baby, not only so he could communicate with his deaf cousin, but also to use signs to express his needs pre-verbally. In an effort to make sign language fun and easy for other families, they created Two Little Hands Productions, and released the first volume of Signing Time in May 2002. The success of Signing Time has been overwhelming and has since grown into 26 volumes. In 2006, Signing Time began airing on over 80% of public television stations across the United States.

Problem

Two Little Hands Productions was already seeing some benefits from a “One Source” fulfillment company, but the growing demands of their business were beyond the capacity of the fulfillment company. Orders were consistently not shipped on time, and credit cards were constantly not being processed, causing a world of customer service problems and financial loss to Two Little Hands. Because of insufficient data from the fulfillment company, too much inventory on hand created additional financial strain. With their company in its infancy and only one office assistant, much of the day was spent trying to solve recurring problems making it difficult to focus on essential aspects of the business like marketing and product line expansion. Two Little Hands Productions needed a world-class partner to fulfill their needs.

Solution

Two Little Hands Productions chose IntegraCore, Inc. to resolve their fulfillment nightmares. IntegraCore was able to immediately provide inventory management tools to maximize inventory turns which lowered inventory levels and virtually eliminated stock outs and lost sales. IntegraCore’s online reporting and inventory reports provided Two Little Hands Productions 24/7 access to key business information. IntegraCore was also able to optimize orders for international shipping and make sure orders that required special handling got to the right place on time. Along with fulfillment, IntegraCore was also able to cut costs by handling all replication, printing, and assembly of Two Little Hands Productions media products. Two Little Hands was released from the burden of worrying about inventory levels, as IntegraCore virtually automated the entire process. IntegraCore was able to provide not only cost-saving services but also peace of mind. Knowing that things were taken care of enabled Two Little Hands Productions to maintain minimum office staff and shift focus to their core business processes. Two Little Hands now has the largest sign language video library of its kind, serving loyal customers in all 50 states and 20 different countries.

“IntegraCore gives us immediate response to our needs and has done more for us than we ever expected.”
